Covid-19, Again!

Updated: Aug 28, 2021

"Stay at home!"

That's what our premier says every 11 o'clock in the morning. Every day the cases go up or only go down by a few. Yes, we get frustrated, we get anxious, we feel lonely at home, but it is all necessary.

These past two years of our lives have been very dramatic and different to the past decades. We have never experienced a world-wide pandemic where almost every country on our globe has experienced hardships, pain, and many losses. Our prime ministers and health workers have been working extremely hard every single day and minute, to ensure that our loved ones can see daylight again. Yes, there has been many deaths all over the world, too many to keep count, but we must persevere and stay motivated if we want to overcome this pandemic. Yes, it won't be easy, but if we all try to maintain a positive attitude, this pandemic will be easier to cope with.

Australia had just come out of the pandemic successfully about 5 months ago. But again the virus somehow managed to come through our borders and infect the civilians of our country. We plunged back into those days, and before we could react the situation had totally gotten out of our hands.

We now sit at, 44 922 cases, about 984 deaths caused by covid in Australia. We are still stuck at home, and this situation is marked the worst since the pandemic first entered Australia. Workers and employees are forced at home with their salary cut. Many are experiencing financial problems, family deaths, and many more which have changed our lifestyle and put our lives on hold.

Sadly, the worldwide number of covid cases are 212 328 733, and about 4 438 511 deaths have since occured in the past 24 hours. This number is increasing by every minute, every second as more and more people are testing positive. We cannot get rid of this virus, but we can shield ourselves from it.

Vaccines are now introduced to many countries, and some have already reached about 70% or 80% vaccination rate. Our health officials are urging us to go and get vaccinated, and we must, in order to stay alive. Some people claim that vaccines are not helping us and have gone anti-vaccine. This is not true as we must trust our health workers, and embrace this vaccine that will change our lives, for the better or not, in the long-term.

I know, this information has probably made you more down and worried, but don't be. This info will make you understand how our world is doing and how you are not the only one struggling. By staying motivated, optimist and positive you can make a small change towards protecting our world from this disease. Spread this info, so more and more people can understand the importance of staying at home and being vaccinated. You will make the cases drop, and before you know it, we will be living our lives as freely as we can.
